Why the Screen-Light Modes Exist
A camera LED flash is designed to be bright and focused for photography — that makes it a poor bedside lamp or reading light. Read and Lamp modes instead use the phone's display, letting you pick a color and brightness that's actually comfortable instead of the fixed intensity a torch app usually gives you.
