Introduction

At Zelipho (zelipho.com), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you use our website, how it is used, and what choices you have. By using Zelipho, you agree to the practices described here.

How Our Tools Process Your Data

Nearly all tools on Zelipho — image converters, name generators, calculators, and hardware test tools — run entirely in your browser (client-side). This means:

  • Your files and inputs never leave your device
  • We do not upload, store, or access your files or calculations
  • All processing happens locally on your computer or phone
  • Your files and tool inputs stay on your device; analytics never receives them

The one exception is the Image Extractor tool, which fetches the web page URL you submit on our server in order to scan it for images. The URL you submit is processed server-side; we do not log or store the URLs you enter. When a website does not allow its images to be loaded or downloaded directly in your browser, the preview or download of that image is passed through our server as well; the image is forwarded to you and not kept. No other tool on this site involves server-side data handling. Some developer tools also offer a From URL button: when you use it, your own browser requests that address directly from the site you entered, exactly as if you had opened it in a tab. The request and the file do not pass through Zelipho, and the file is then processed on your device.

The Image to Text tool reads your picture in your browser, but the first time you use it, your browser downloads the open-source text recognition engine (Tesseract.js) and the language data from the jsDelivr content delivery network (cdn.jsdelivr.net). As with any download, jsDelivr receives your IP address and browser details. Your picture and the text found in it are not sent to jsDelivr or to us.

Analytics Cookies

Zelipho uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity on every page to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the tools. Both load when the page opens and may set first-party cookies in your browser. The cookie banner shown on your first visit tells you about these cookies; they load whether you press Accept or Decline. They may collect:

  • Google Analytics — pages visited, session duration, browser/device type, and general geographic location (country/city level). We have enabled IP anonymization in Google Analytics so that the last octet of your IP address is zeroed out before storage — your full IP address is never recorded by this service.
  • Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps to understand how visitors interact with pages

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts; the tools keep working either way. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on. Neither service receives the files you upload or the inputs you enter in our tools — that data never leaves your browser.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights are also active and collect anonymized, aggregated page performance metrics. These do not use cookies or track individual users.

Advertising and Google AdSense

Zelipho displays ads served by Google AdSense. The AdSense script loads on every page visit (this is standard practice — the script itself does not set tracking cookies until an ad actually renders). Google and its partners may use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to:

  • Serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites
  • Measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud
  • Show frequency-capped ads (limiting how often the same ad appears)

Ad personalization by Google is entirely separate from the file-processing described above — Google never has access to the files or data you use inside our tools.

You can manage ad personalization preferences at Google Ads Settings. For EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors, Google also serves its own IAB-TCF consent prompt for ad personalization through its "Privacy & Messaging" tools. You can also opt out via www.aboutads.info or www.networkadvertising.org/choices.

Third-Party Service Privacy Policies

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing. The services listed above process data under their own privacy policies:

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Zelipho is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our tools are general-purpose utilities designed for a general adult audience. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to remove that information. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to know — what personal data is collected about you and how it is used
  • Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to deletion — request that personal data about you be deleted
  • Right to opt out — opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do not sell data, but you may request confirmation)
  • Right to non-discrimination — exercise privacy rights without receiving discriminatory treatment

Because Zelipho's tools process all data client-side (in your browser), we do not hold personal data from your tool usage on our servers — there is no file data or calculation history to access or delete. For data held by third-party analytics services, please use the opt-out and data-request links in their own privacy policies (linked above). Data Retention

We do not store personal data on our servers from tool usage. Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is retained per Google's default retention settings (26 months for user-level data unless changed). Microsoft Clarity retains session recordings for up to 30 days by default. Vercel Analytics data is aggregated and does not retain individual user records.

Our Chrome Extensions

We develop Chrome extensions as separate products from this website. Each extension handles data as follows:

  • Smart Copy Hub — clipboard history and snippet manager. This extension reads text you copy (using the clipboardRead permission) and records the source page URL alongside each clipboard entry so you can jump back to it. All clipboard data is stored exclusively in your browser's local chrome.storage — it never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear your clipboard history at any time from the extension popup. The extension requires host_permissions: <all_urls>solely to inject the content script that detects copy events on any page — it does not read or transmit page content.
  • Crimson Smoke — a Chrome visual theme. This is a pure theme package (colors and images only, no JavaScript code). It requests zero permissions, runs no code, and collects no data whatsoever. Installing it changes your browser's color scheme and new tab background image — nothing else.

None of our Chrome extensions send any user data to Zelipho's servers or any third-party server. All data processed by these extensions remains on your device.

Our Android Apps

The Apps section of this site describes separate Android applications available on Google Play. These apps are distinct products from this website and have their own data practices (typically collecting device and advertising identifiers used to show ads). Each app's current, authoritative data-safety disclosure is shown on its own Google Play Store listing — that listing, not this page, governs those apps.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices change or when required by law. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Zelipho after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
