This Merch by Amazon royalty calculator shows the royalty on a sale in the US store of Amazon Merch on Demand. Pick the product, enter your list price and choose your royalty group. It returns the royalty per sale and the totals for a month and a year.
How the Royalty Is Calculated
Amazon does not publish its cost for each product. It publishes example royalties at set prices on its Royalties page, and this calculator is built on those examples. A standard T-shirt listed at $19.99 pays $2.44 at Creator rates. At 50 sales a month that is $122.00.

The Creator column is copied from Amazon's page. The Plus and Premium columns apply the 2× and 2.16× multipliers Amazon states for the US store. Each extra dollar on the price of a standard T-shirt adds 37 cents of Creator royalty.
Royalty Groups
For sales in the US store, Amazon places each account in one of three royalty groups based on how many of its sales come from non-organic traffic. That is traffic Amazon identifies as driven by you, including ads on or off Amazon and social media.

Plus and Premium also need at least 10 units sold a month in the US store. Amazon updates the group each month from the trailing two-month average, and says a change can take up to 2 business days to take effect. Amazon also says group definitions and rates can change.

For a price between two of Amazon's examples, the calculator takes the point between them. A standard T-shirt at $18.99 sits halfway between $1.70 and $2.44, which gives $2.07. For a price outside the examples it extends the nearest pair and marks the result as an estimate. For a product that is not in the list, choose other product and type the Creator royalty Amazon shows you.
Ads and the Plus Group
Ads cost money but can move an account into a higher group. Take 50 standard T-shirts a month at $19.99. At Creator rates the royalties are $122.00. In the Plus group they are $244.00, and after $40 of ad spend $204.00 is left. The Plus rate applies only if at least 15% of unit sales come from traffic you drive, so the ad spend has to produce sales, not only clicks.

Tax and What Is Not Included
Amazon says the US offer price has tax added at checkout, and the royalty examples do not include that tax. The list price you enter here is the price before tax. In the Europe and Japan stores the displayed price already includes tax, which is one reason those stores have separate royalty tables.
Royalties are income, and tax on them is yours to pay. The calculator does not estimate it.

Yes. Amazon Merch on Demand is the current name of the program that many sellers still call Merch by Amazon.
Does this work for the UK, Germany or Japan stores?
No. The calculator uses the US examples only. Amazon publishes separate royalty examples for each store, and says royalty rates for sales outside the US store do not use the three groups.
