eBay's Final Value Fee Is Bigger Than It Looks
eBay charges its final value fee on the total sale amount — item price plus shipping — not just the item price, and the per-order fee is tiered rather than a flat number: $0.30 on orders of $10 or less, $0.40 above that. eBay raised its headline rate from 13.25% to 13.6% in February 2025 for most categories, up to $7,500 in a single sale, dropping to 2.35% only on the portion above that threshold — a detail that matters if you sell higher-ticket items, and one that's easy to miss if you're pricing from an older rate you remember.
