This tool adds a watermark to images: your name, a copyright line, your website, your logo or a logo with text, placed in a corner, anywhere you drag it, or tiled across the whole picture at any angle. Set the size and opacity once and it is applied to every photo you add, so a whole shoot or a set of product photos can be watermarked in one go and downloaded as a ZIP. Photographers, artists and online sellers use it to show who a picture belongs to before sharing it.
How to Watermark Photos
- Add your photos. One or many, in JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Choose Text, Logo or Both. Type something like © 2026 Your Name or yoursite.com, or add your logo, or use them together.
- Style it. Font, size, colour, outline, shadow and a background box for text; size and colour for the logo.
- Set the look. Opacity, angle (any value from −180° to 180°) and blend mode.
- Place it. Click one of nine positions, drag it anywhere on the preview, or tile it by spacing or by an exact number of rows and columns.
- Download. One photo downloads on its own; several come as a ZIP, each with the same watermark scaled to its width.

Choosing the Right Watermark
| Style | Protection | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Small text in a corner, 40–60% opacity | Low: easy to crop off | Social media posts and portfolios, where credit matters more than protection |
| Logo in a corner or centre | Medium | Brand photos, product shots and real-estate listings |
| Tiled text across the picture | High: hard to crop or retouch | Proofs for clients, previews of photos or art for sale |
White text with a soft shadow works on most photos because the shadow keeps it visible on light areas. For a tiled watermark, a slight angle (about −30°) and low opacity (25–35%) cover the picture without hiding it. Rows × columns gives a predictable pattern: 3 columns by 4 rows suits a portrait photo, 4 by 3 a landscape one.
What a Watermark Can and Cannot Do
- It identifies you. When a picture is shared without credit, the watermark still says whose it is and where to find you.
- It discourages copying. Most people will not bother to remove a watermark. A determined person can still crop a corner mark, and editing software can paint over many watermarks, so tiling is the stronger choice for valuable images.
- It is not what gives you copyright. In most countries you own the copyright in a photo you took as soon as you take it, watermark or not. A watermark is a notice. In the United States, removing a notice that identifies the owner can itself be against the law (17 U.S.C. § 1202).
- Keep the originals. The watermark becomes part of the downloaded picture and cannot be taken off later.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a watermark to a photo?
Add the photo, type your name or website in the Text box (or switch to Logo and add your logo), pick a position, and download. The preview shows exactly what the saved photo will look like.
How do I watermark many photos at once?
Add all the photos together. The same watermark is placed on each one, scaled to its width, and Download all saves them in one ZIP file. Click a thumbnail to check how a particular photo looks first.
What opacity should a watermark have?
Around 40–60% for text and 50–70% for a logo is a good start: visible enough to identify you, light enough not to spoil the photo. Use a higher opacity for proofs you send to clients before payment.
Where is the best place to put a watermark?
A corner is the least distracting but the easiest to crop off. Over the main subject or tiled across the whole picture is much harder to remove, which is why stock photo sites tile theirs. Choose by how much protection you need.
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Choose Logo and add your logo file. A PNG or SVG with a transparent background looks best; a JPG logo shows its white box over the photo. Logo colour can turn it all white, all black or grey, which often reads better over photos than the original colours.
Can I use text and a logo together?
Yes. Choose Both: the logo sits beside the text or above it, and the pair is moved, rotated and tiled as one watermark.
How do I make a diagonal watermark across the whole photo?
Choose Tile, then either By spacing or Rows × columns. The angle starts at −30° and the opacity drops to 35% when you switch to tiling; change both with the sliders. For one large diagonal mark instead, choose Position, the centre square, a size large enough to cross the picture and an angle of −30° or −45°.
What do the blend modes do?
They change how the watermark mixes with the photo. Multiply darkens and suits light photos, Screen lightens and suits dark ones, Overlay and Soft light blend it into the picture so it looks printed on, and Difference stays visible on any background.
Can it remember my watermark?
Turn on Remember these settings. Your text, style, position and, if it is under 300 KB, your logo are stored in this browser only, so the next batch is ready to go.
Does the watermark make the photos smaller or lower quality?
The photos keep their original width and height. PNG is saved without loss; JPG and WebP are saved at 92% quality, which looks the same as the original at normal viewing size.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The watermark is added by your browser and the photos never leave your device.
