Lifeline Bills
Lifeline rates are Rs 3.95 for up to 50 units and Rs 7.74 for up to 100 units, with no fixed charge. There is no slab benefit: at 51 units every unit is charged Rs 7.74. A minimum monthly charge of Rs 75 (single phase) or Rs 150 (three phase) applies when the bill would be lower. The tariff guide ties Lifeline status to consumption history, so pick it only if your bill shows it.
Where the Rates Come From
