IESCO Service Area

This IESCO bill calculator estimates a monthly bill for consumers of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company from the units used, using the residential and other tariffs notified for 2026. IESCO describes its area as running from Attock to Jhelum and from the Indus River to the Neelum River in Kashmir. The helpline is 118 (SMS 8118), and a duplicate bill is at bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill. The tariff figures on every DISCO page here are taken from IESCO's tariff guide.

A Worked IESCO Bill

Take an unprotected 1 kW connection at exactly 300 units.

LineWorkingAmount
Energy charge300 × Rs 33.10Rs 9,930.00
Fixed charge1 kW sanctioned loadRs 350.00
GST at 18%On Rs 10,280.00Rs 1,850.40
Estimate before FPARs 12,130.40

The fuel price adjustment from your bill is added after this, and it can be negative. A residential consumer who is not on the FBR Active Taxpayers List may also see income tax on a monthly bill of Rs 25,000 or more; the calculator does not add it.

What One More Unit Costs

Unprotected slabs are not telescopic: the whole month is billed at the rate of the slab the total falls in. At 300 units the estimate is Rs 12,130.40. At 301 units every unit moves to Rs 36.46 and the fixed charge to Rs 400 per kW, so the estimate becomes Rs 13,421.86, which is Rs 1,291.46 more for one unit. The calculator warns you when you are within five units past a slab boundary.

Rates are from S.R.O 279(I)/2026 as published on IESCO's tariff guide, the same for all ten DISCOs. Time-of-use (5 kW and above), commercial, industrial and agricultural tariffs are in the calculator's category list. Electricity duty and the PTV fee are no longer collected through bills from July 2025, so the calculator leaves them at zero; change them under Customize Tariff for an older bill.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate my IESCO bill?

Multiply the units by the slab rate, add the fixed charge for your sanctioned load, add 18% GST on those two, then add the FPA. For an unprotected 1 kW connection at exactly 300 units, that gives Rs 12,130.40 before FPA.

Which areas does IESCO cover?

IESCO describes its area as running from Attock to Jhelum and from the Indus River to the Neelum River in Kashmir. The helpline is 118 (SMS 8118), and a duplicate bill is at bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill. The tariff figures on every DISCO page here are taken from IESCO's tariff guide.

Why does 301 units cost so much more than 300 on an IESCO bill?

Because unprotected bills are not telescopic. All 301 units are charged at the 301–400 rate of Rs 36.46 instead of Rs 33.10, and the fixed charge rises from Rs 350 to Rs 400 per kW. With 1 kW of load the estimate rises by about Rs 1,291.

Are IESCO rates different from other DISCOs?

No. NEPRA's tariff for the ten ex-WAPDA distribution companies is the same for each of them. K-Electric in Karachi has its own tariff and is not covered here.
